UPI is committed to "fair pay" to employees, staff members, and sub-contractors, through intensive workforce research and analysis.
F.W.A. defined...
A Fair Wage Advocate is a person, organization, or firm that is committed to the promotion of fair wage in the workplace.
Purpose of F.W.A.
As an employer, UPI believes "fair wages" to be essential in maintaining the integrity and performance of the services we offer. We believe the level of service we provide to be a direct reflection of the knowledge, training, and the motivation of our staff. UPI has established some of the highest requirements for our staff members, when compared to state mandates and our competition. We require more of our staff, and we believe the best motivation to be fair and appropriate pay.
F.W.A. Strategies...
UPI strives to maintain fair wages through the following methods:
Extensive workforce research -
UPI conducts extensive research into state and national averages for categorized wages. We know our competition. We know how our competition pays their staff.
Higher wages -
According to workforce statistics, UPI employees and staff are currently paid an average of 20% higher than our competition, when based upon comparable job requirements.
Competitive Benefits -
UPI offers better benefits for employees and staff members, when compared to other Security and Investigation firms throughout the state of Texas. Benefits include paid vacation, paid sick leave, insurance and health care programs, and more...
Employee Recognition Programs -
In 2008, UPI implemented an "ER" or "Employee Recognition" Program that awards an "Employee of the Quarter" and "Employee of the Year," based upon credentials, company loyalty, work performance, continued training, and other applicable factors. Employees are awarded pay bonuses, certificates, letters of commendation, and paid stays at approved resorts.
